2-1-1 Helps People
After being told she was ineligible for service by a local transportation provider, Mary called 2-1-1 to find out who could help her get to her medical appointments. She was previously able to walk far enough to get to the City bus stop which was more than a mile from her home, but her disabilities made it very difficult and sometimes impossible to do this on a regular basis. 2-1-1 was able to advocate on Mary’s behalf and as a result she was found to be eligible for service and was able to sign up for reliable transportation to her medical appointments.
