2-1-1 Reaccredited by the Alliance of Information
&
Referral Systems

United Way’s 2-1-1 of WNC successfully achieved reaccreditation in 2007 from the Alliance of Information & Referral Systems (AIRS), the accrediting body for public and private information and referral providers.  AIRS is the driving force behind the development of clear and consistent professional standards that benchmark every aspect of quality information and referral, including data accuracy, maintenance and backup; staff training, monitoring and development; customer satisfaction; and community collaborations.

AIRS administers a rigorous accreditation program that measures an organization’s ability to meet each of these AIRS standards.

2-1-1 strives to provide a high quality health and human service information and referral program for our community.  We are proud to have the AIRS stamp of approval on our hard work.

2-1-1 Helps People

When Susan realized she could not work full-time and care for her aging mother during the day, she contacted 2-1-1.

Referral specialists linked Susan to a local adult daycare program that helps care for her mother while Susan is at work.

Because of this program, Susan's mother is able to enjoy more years at home, and Susan can go to work knowing that her mother is safe.
