Information & Referral Systems
2-1-1 successfully
achieved reaccreditation in December from the Alliance of
Information & Referral Systems (AIRS), the accrediting
body for public and private information and referral
providers. AIRS is the driving force behind the
development of clear and consistent professional standards
that benchmark every aspect of quality information and
referral, including: data accuracy, maintenance, and backup;
staff training, monitoring, and development; customer
satisfaction; and community collaborations. AIRS
administers a rigorous accreditation program that measures an
organization's ability to meet each of these AIRS standards.
