Upcoming Workshop

How can nonprofit organizations best deal with the new economic environment?
Wed., Dec. 10th, 2:30-5 p.m. in Asheville
with Hal Williams of the Rensselaerville Institute
The charge for this event is $10 per person
~~~
Nonprofit organizations are anticipating tough financial times ahead-and they are right to do so.  Decreased government spending, reduced foundation portfolios leading to fewer grant dollars, and shrinking contributions from individuals feeling the pinch all point to great challenges.
This workship will focus on:
  • Tactics that will help you concentrate on what you do best and find opportunity in scarcity -- in a proactive vs. reactive way
  • Practical ways for you to define your organization by what you achieve (your outcomes) and therefore become more attactive to funders and donors, and
  • New forms of collaboration between nonprofits and foundations that can increase efficiencies for both groups at a time when every dollar-and every hour-counts.
